Tips
on managing costs
Solicitors
meet clients by appointment and in order to maximise
the value of your consultations it is useful to;
- bring
with you any letters or documents relevant
to the matter being discussed. Photographs,
where relevant can also be useful at this stage.
- provide,
where possible, a list of names, addresses
and contact details for parties involved in
the matter as this can also help to save time
at a later date
- make
a note of relevant events, dates and times
and bring it with you particularly if the facts
are complicated or if a series of dates are
involved.
- prepare
a list of questions you want to ask
- keep
a file of all your correspondence and documents
relating to the case so that you are prepared
and informed prior to meeting your solicitor
- if
possible, correspond by email with your solicitor
as this can be an efficient way of keeping
in touch with your solicitor helping to save
both your time and your solicitors.
